NOW RESIDING AT RAINBOW BRIDGE BUT ALWAYS IN OUR HEART

LOVED ......LOST.........BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN

Hidden Cedars The Procrastinator MLCP   "Casey" was so young and sweet and funny.  Casey was happy and playing with her mother and Mia, when I left her in the back yard the evening of 5-16-07 . Two hours later I found her dead with no apparent injuries.  Her body was taken to the vet to find out the cause of her death.  The autopsy revealed that her stomach had twisted and bloated and cut off her air supply. This is something that is not common among dachshunds but more inherent to deep chested breeds.  My vet said there was no way to know and that it was not something I could have done anything different to prevent it from happening.  Casey's' life was cut way to short and she will be missed so very much.  She was a jewel and it is so sad that she will not grow old with us.

Picasso of Hidden Cedars 10-06-95 to 2-23-06  This very sweet man was the first piebald I ever had.  He started my fascination with the pies. He will be missed.

Lilanuthin of Hidden Cedars was such a joy and such a funny girl.  I do not know if you can tell by the photo but she has big pouches on each side of her face were she stores food on the inside of her mouth.  Every time after she eats she looks like a chipmunk saving up for winter!!!  Of course I have to go and push it out so it will not ruin her back teeth!!!  I wonder if other dachshunds do this???? It is so comical. Chris Fricke has a son of Nutins named Dani and he does it also!!  How funny!!

Lilanuthin of Hidden Cedars whelped 4-29-1995 to 8-23-2004.  "Nutin" left us way to soon.  She was a great little lady and the hardest dachshund I have ever had to housetrain but finally got it.  She loved to be on my chair behind my back when I sat at the computer.  She could sing and howl when prompted and was such a very funny girl.  She was a great bed buddy and a terrific hunter when she wasn't lounging on the couch.  All who new here loved her.  I will miss her so much but know she is not suffering.

Morgan Of Hidden Cedar was 14 when she left us on 5-2-05.  She was such a happy girl and never met a stranger.....she welcomed everyone with her barking and a wagging tail.  She loved to lay belly up in the sun and soak in the rays. She was no longer a black and tan she had changed into a lovely black and grey. We will all miss our sweet girl.

missyhead.jpg (28454 bytes)missybed.jpg (23478 bytes)Missy of Hidden Cedars red female smooth Mini Dachshund whelped 6-26-1990.  Laid to rest 9-22-03.   Missy did not have the great conformation of a show dog nor was she an agility champion but she was a big champion in our hearts.  She was a great squirrel hunter and on several occasions would bring me home her prize kills.  We like our squirrels but Missy took it upon herself to keep our yard FREE of squirrels.  Trees can have squirrels in them but do not let her catch them on the ground or catch them she would!!! Her favorite place during the winter was right behind our free standing fireplace.  Missy was a wonderful girl and will be missed by all of us, especially her lifetime bud a black/tan Mini dachshund named Morgan.

faiski.jpg (30950 bytes)Faiskehead.jpg (27427 bytes) Hc Faiski #0362485 Born 1988 and died 10-28-2002.   HC Faiski had moved physically from here to our good friends Staci Massons home in Salado, TX. but he never left our heart.  He was a very good natured stallion that left this earth to soon.  He will be missed by all that knew him and loved him so.  Run free my friend.

The Massons were able to breed one of their mares to him before his passing that will be due in the spring of 2003.  The mare carried and delivered Faiskis' last foal, a filly they named Faiski's Contessa.  She was born a bay but will be grey like her father.

yoda.jpg (22014 bytes)This is Yoda.  She was 18 1/2 years old and of questionable parentage.  We guess Boston Terrier because of color and Jack Russell because of attitude and conformation.  We found her on the side of the road 17 1/2 years ago and she has been here ever since.  She had been our horse herding dog but had slowed down quite a bit and mostly just watched over them in her older days.  Yoda was laid to rest 11-30-01.  We put her in the pasture next to HC Ibn Pompeii the one she loved to chase the most. Now she will be there to watch him.   Yoda was a great friend and loved everyone and other dogs and cats as well.   We will hold all the wonderful memories of our dear friend in our heart always.
